The project involves the demolition of a small building and the realization of a single family house in a tipically rural context. In order to integrate the new building in the delicate surrounding environment, the residence is developed entirely on a single floor, reducing the height of the building and preserving its typological configuration. The “L” shape of the new building, generated as an extension of the existing one and forming a cross-gabled house, allows to separate the big parcel into an entrance fronting the public path on the North and a more private space on the South, connected with the living area and the veranda. The architectural volume, basic and compact, is dug laterally in order to obtain a covered path 1,5 m wide, volumetrically defined as a contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional eaves called “sporti”. To mantain ist clearness the external surfaces are covered in white smooth plaster and all the openings, chracterized by large glazed doors and fixed windows with aluminium frames, are placed alongside the covered paths.
Il progetto prevede la realizzazione di una casa unifamiliare in un contesto prevalentemente agricolo. L’intervento prevede quindi un’unità abitativa su un unico livello per diminuire l’altezza massima del fabbricato e preservarne il carattere tipologico, garantendo un accurato inserimento nel delicato contesto agricolo. Il progetto si articola in un volume ad “L” che permette di separare lo spazio esterno in una zona d’ingresso a nord prospiciente la strada ed una zona a sud più privata, sulla quale si affaccia la zona giorno dell’abitazione. Il volume, compatto ed essenziale, viene lavorato unicamente operando per sottrazione, in modo da ricavare uno spazio coperto profondo 1,50 m lungo tutti i fronti principali che risulti volumetricamente e compositivamente definito, in una rilettura contemporanea dei tradizionali “sporti”. Per il trattamento di tutte le superfici esterne si è scelto intonaco di colore bianco, mentre tutti i serramenti, sia fissi che scorrevoli, saranno realizzati in alluminio.
